54,417 fans watched an exciting game at Minute Maid Field.  The Detroit Iron
Gloves topped the Chicago Rastafarians by the slimmest of margins, 5 to
4.

Detroit won the game with a run in the top of the 9th inning.  Eric Munson
delivered a single.  Eli Marrero stepped into the batter's box and he lined a
base-hit.  Russ Adams then slapped a single scoring the run.  The teams had
been locked in a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.  

Braden Looper(7-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Looper was
helped out by Francisco Rodriguez who recorded his 15th save.  The losing
pitcher was Rafael Betancourt(2-1) in relief.
